Thanks to the Centre Pompidou's restoration expertise, three iconic works from the collections of the Sursock Museum in Beirut, severely damaged in the double explosion in the port of Beirut on August 4, 2020, have been brought back to life.
The Portrait of Nicolas Ibrahim Sursock (Kees Van Dongem), the Portrait of Odile Mazloum (Cici Tomazeo Sursock) and Consolation (Paul Guiragosian) have been restored under the direction of Véronique Sorano-Stedman and in partnership with the directof of the Sursock Museum. The works are now on display in the collections of the Musée National d'Art Moderne and we would be delighted to have you join us to celebrate the completion of this major exhibition and the friendship between the Centre Pompidou and the Sursock Museum, during a guided tour.
