Raymond Saunders, Déménagement David Zwirner - 75003 Curated by Ebony L. Haynes, Déménagement marks the artist’s first exhibition in Paris in twenty years. Saunders once called Paris “a home away from home,” embracing the French capital as a generative place for art making and community building. The city offered a hopeful environment and freer way of life, one that held opportunities for artists to be in broader conversation with audiences and institutions at large.
Hassan Musa Galerie Maïa Muller - 75004 Hassan Musa is a Sudanese-born French contemporary painter and one of the pioneers in contemporary art and zoomorphic calligraphy. His artwork is known to adapt, mix and combine diverse styles from contrasting parts of the world: he appropriates classical Western artworks to approach and challenge well-known figures such as Osama bin Laden, Che Guevara, Vincent van Gogh or Josephine Baker.
Troy Makaza Jérôme Poggi - 75004 Troy Makaza, whose participation in last year’s Venice Biennale was particularly noteworthy in the Zimbabwean pavilion, will occupy the gallery’s main exhibition space for his second solo show. This show will be accompanied by the publication of his first monograph.
