Following the exhibition "Raymond Hains: la tentative" in 2001, the Centre Pompidou received a number of film elements belonging to Raymond Hains and Jacques Villeglé. Their status is uncertain: sketches, unfinished or incomplete films, variants of shots used elsewhere. From a technical point of view, this material has been inventoried by a restorer, but the sources and contexts of production remain obscure. In this context, it would be appropriate to fill a historiographical gap, and to work on the filmic work of Hains and Villeglé, which is still relatively unexplored.
