Shiraz Bayjoo

For her first institutional exhibition in France, Shiraz Bayjoo expands on her research into the colonial histories that relate her native Mauritius to surrounding territories such as Madagascar. For the exhibition she presents a new series of works highlighting the complex socio-political entanglements that have shaped the Indian Ocean. The exhibition is accompanied by a text by curator Ilaria Conti.
