The works of the Wilson sisters depict the impact of man on the planet. The artists are interested in what happens when a place felt to be inaccessible becomes an object of desire and control, only to be abandoned to the forces of nature and the environment, which regain their rights and regenerate themselves. Exhibited for the first time in France, they offer for the Sorbonne Artgallery an exhibition that is the culmination of work done over the past two years during residencies on Gapado Island in South Korea and on the island of Ise in Japan, which they put in dialogue with a former series made in 2010 in Chernobyl.
