François Morrelet

François Morellet is a French conceptual sculptor and light artist known for his complex geometric shapes and patterns. He has spent most of his career, for over sixty years, developing a major body of work within geometric abstraction. A founding member of the Groupe de recherche d’art visuel (GRAV) in 1960, he has multiplied the types of plastic intervention, from painting on stretchers to projects in the city and in architecture.
