Acquisition Group for Photography

The Musée National d'Art Moderne - Centre Pompidou has one of the largest collections of artists' photographs in Europe, with over 45,000 silver prints, 60,000 negatives and several historic collections (Man Ray, Dora Maar, Brassaï...).
In 2014, on the occasion of the opening of the Galerie de photographies, the Acquisition Group for Photography (GAP) was created in close collaboration with the Museum's Cabinet de la photographie. Since its creation, the group has acquired nearly 100 works by artists of over 25 different nationalities.
Becoming a GAP member means contributing to the enrichment of Europe's largest photographic collections, exchanging ideas with the Museum's experts and artists, meeting a community of committed enthusiasts, and accessing to exclusive new cultural content. This group is French-speaking.
