Acquisition Group for Contemporary Art

The first acquisition committee created in France, the GAAC makes a significant contribution to the enrichment of the Musée National d'Art Moderne collections with works by artists of our time, from the French and international scenes, in all disciplines.
This acquisition committee is based on a unique organizational structure. Committee members and museum curators work in tandem: together, they meet the artist and his or her ecosystem, and work on acquisition proposals. This is a French-speaking group.
Becoming a GAAC member means contributing to the enrichment of the Museum's contemporary art collections by proposing works and voting for their acquisition. It means joining a community of committed patrons and benefiting from privileged contact with the Museum's curators and director, as well as with the artists, through exclusive cultural content.
