For this 29th edition, Florence Bourgeois, director of Paris Photo, and Anna Planas, artistic director, present a program that explores the relationship between the history of photography, contemporary practices, and the medium’s evolution. To mark the bicentennial of photography, Paris Photo is hosting an exhibition curated specifically from the Centre Pompidou’s collection. The exhibition’s thematic journey, organized around three main themes (“Creating the Image,” “Infinity,” and “Identities”), offers a cross-cutting perspective on artistic practices based on photography, from the early 20th century to the present day.
