Tadashi Kawamata at the Palais de Tokyo

Doubting everything, Tadashi Kawamata draws the viewer into a state of mind that encourages a second look at their surroundings, thereby prompting reflection on universal human themes, such as need and desire. His forms and the materials he uses are always subtly chosen, perfectly attuned to the spaces in which he works.

His work Tree hut in Pompidou entered the collection in 2013 thanks to Contemporary Art Acquisition Group of the Amis du Centre Pompidou.
