Georges Mathieu

Thanks to the Centre Pompidou, Georges Mathieu is exhibiting some forty paintings at the Monnaie de Paris, along with numerous works on paper, medals, coins and minting tools. His abstract images, which have become a signature style, have had a major impact on the visual environment of his contemporaries, and have been embodied not only in paintings but also in all the media of modern art.
