Event around Laurent Montaron, "De la nature des choses et de celle du film"

The Amis invite you to a screening of three films by Laurent Montaron, Short Study on the Nature of Things (2011), Nature of the Self (2014) and La Réciprocité du récit (2016), recently acquired with the support of the Friends, followed by a discussion with the artist. Since the mid-1990s, Laurent Montaron has been developing a protean body of work that includes films, photographs, installations and sound works. At the crossroads of philosophy and the fine arts, the artist draws on the history of technology to question systems for encoding images and devices for sensory perception.
Works by Laurent Montaron entered the collections thanks to the GAAC in 2022.
