This exhibition will be organized around Patti Smith's collaboration with the Soundwalk Collective, an interdisciplinary ensemble founded in New York by Stephan Crasneanscki. While the first project undertaken by the Soundwalk Collective and Patti Smith focused on the personality of Nico (singer of the Velvet), the following projects, which Simone Merli joined and which will be presented in the Centre Pompidou exhibition, will focus on three icons of French poetry.  The Peyote Dance (2019) is dedicated to Antonin Artaud, Mummer Love (2019) to Arthur Rimbaud and Peradam (2020) to René Daumal. To complete the ensemble, the Centre Pompidou will present rare works by Patti Smith, including a 1973 drawing of Rimbaud.
