In the summer of 2022, the Jeu de Paume presents the first exhibition devoted exclusively to the figure of Jean Painlevé. A filmmaker with an international reputation for his filmic experiments, Jean Painlevé (1902-1989) was a specialist in scientific documentary and film techniques.
