Fransisco Tropa

Portuguese artist Francisco Tropa is the author of a complex body of work, freely combining a wide range of techniques, from the most basic skills to virtuoso feats. Blending art and technical ingenuity, Tropa's creative vision encompasses prototypes and machines, as well as paintings, silkscreens, photographs and performances. The result is a "world" of his own, drawn from a variety of sources, including a rigorously anti-hierarchical set of references, figures from the ancient and modern world, science and magic.
