Tatiana Trouvé is developing a body of work that is as vast as it is ambitious, where drawing and sculpture intertwine in a permanent back-and-forth movement. Her work in three-dimensional space proceeds from the invention of places to be (re)inhabited, while her graphic production, which is essentially two-dimensional, gives rise, like so many scenes, to fragmentary arrangements of architectural, landscape and furniture elements that evoke the work of dreams and their mechanisms. The artist thus weaves an "art of memory", which is not a technique of memorization, but rather a game with oblivion, leaving the memory all the latitude to become imprecise.

The Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris presents the first retrospective devoted to Anita Molinero in a Parisian institution. This exhibition traces the different phases of her artistic development: from her first works at the end of the 1980s - some of which have disappeared and will be reproduced in photographs - to her latest works, including several productions made for the occasion.

When she died in 2016, the American painter Shirley Jaffe left behind a rich body of abstract work, a significant part of which was donated to the French state and received by the Musée national d'art moderne in 2019. This new exhibition shows the way in which the artist had to abandon gesturality in order to bring ever greater tension to her artistic experience. The chronological layout orchestrates occasional confrontations between works from different periods. Precious studio notes written by the artist for each of her paintings are presented in the showcase along with archival material collected in the studio.
