For the past twenty years, Jérémie Bennequin has been developing a multidisciplinary artistic activity based on the themes of memory and time. At the heart of his artistic practice, literature is his raw material of choice. Relatively conceptual, often ritualized, ceremonial, obsessive and singularly determined by a logic of erasure, Jérémie Bennequin's creative approach generates ambiguous works, ruins, palimpsests, vestiges, relics of processes, at the crossroads of words and images, the legible and the visible, where triturated writing reveals a texture of text and displaces the field of Letters into the realm of the visual arts.
