The work of Katinka Bock uses different types of materials – wood, metal, stone -, but also found objects. Here, the sculptural motion is often accompanied by natural elements – warmth, humidity, sunlight – as well as time effects, so that the work always seems in a sort of provisory suspense in an ongoing transformation process. The success of her sculptures stems from their simultaneous precarious and immuable character. In the european landscape, Bock singularly assumes arte povera’s heritage and a form of post-minimalism.
